Spanish Inquisition -

Day of Wrath was an utterly unexpected enjoyable movie. I know this ended up in the machine because of Christopher Lambert. But was surprised by Brian Blessed and Phyllida Law, they were the first clues that this wasn't to be the dismissable B-movie tripe I was half-expecting. It was heavy on the suspense and twists, very Name of the Rose - ish. but clearer on the intent. I enjoyed all fo the performances. The costuming is exquisite and the set designs and cinematography were spot-on. I recommend it for a night in, when you really don't know what else to throw in and just want to be entertained for a while.
