Bring on the Red Threat...

Nochnoy Dozor (Night Watch) – Crazy Russian LOVE. Maybe I don’t watch enough Russian films, but this caught my eye and has yet to let go of it. The cinematography was pretty, but the editing was thrilling. I loved it from the first moments of narration to the inevitable end. Every time I watch it (yes I now own an official copy) I discover new details. The acting was perfect for the story and setting.

On a side note the book is nothing like the movie – there are some bits and crossovers, but the mainline story is very different from the basic plotting of the movie. I LOVE the book. Sergie Lukyanenko is brilliant. I'd follow Antoshka anywhere, Gesar not so much.
