Whoopity freakin' do...

Whale Rider – very disappointed. I have no idea where the “critical acclaim” came from for this piece. It just left me wanting. I’m not sure if I want more of the Maori story/backstory, or just more in depth in general.

Yes, it is a cute story. Yes, the relationships tween grandfather and son and granddaughter is malleable. Yes, the girl changes everything. But, I was expecting all that. The acting good; that is not in question. I just wish I had those hours of my precious life back.
